Nutrient Dense Produce: Character

Lasting Quality

TAILS: It may take a little while to absorb this: FOOD DOES NOT HAVE TO SPOIL!

This is a picture of two tomato crops. The Two Tomato Crops tomatoes
on the left were harvested in 2008.
The ones on the
right were picked in 2007,
14 months earlier.

The earlier crop paled in color, but never  spoiled
though stored in a garage all year long in Spokane, Washington. (This photo was provided by www.tandjenterprises.com/garden2008.htm)

What made the difference between these tomatoes  and store-bought ones? Nutritional density. When plants have the minerals needed for optimum growth and adequate growing conditions, they will be more resistant to disease, insect infestations, drought, freezes, and will produce bigger harvests. Their fruit will be full of flavor and will not spoil or rot.

It sounds preposterous, I know, but it’s true. This is what we can expect when we devote ourselves to growing nutrient dense produce.

HEADS: Let’s look at it another way.

I know what it is to be in need and what it is to have more than enough. I have learned this secret, so that anywhere, at any time, I am content, whether I am full or hungry, whether I have too much or too little. I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me.  Philippians 4:12-13 GNB

Such people are at peace with God and fully infused with His gracious provisions. What can spoil them? Tribulations? Abundance? As in the earthly so in the heavenly.

If I have told you earthly things, and you believe not, how shall you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?  John 3:12

What a God!
